Evan has been having a wonderful experience at his new school. He loves what he is learing and asks to stay after school several days a week. I have been picking him up at school around 5:00 or 5:30 on those evenings.
He has been working with Mr. Bell to create the Module Signs out of the materials that each module teaches. Evan finished the sign for the "Framing" Module and is now working on the "Tile" Module. Here is his finished sign for the "Framing" Module (he did all the work):
As writers, we need to draw from our experiences and find ways to infuse who we are into the stories we tell. Julia Cameron, the author of the Artist's Way, states: "We must write from love and we must choose those to read us who read from love: the love of words. The love of naming our experience must finally be the guiding force in what we put on the page."
